The world is full of amazing street parties, music festivals and carnivals! In Japan, there's this – the AWA ODORI. It's held annually in Tokushima and it's historically a big drunken dance party in the streets! That's right, Samurai were even banned from joining in 1671 because they were continually disgracing themselves. (It was for their own protection.) Tokushima is known for its love of dance and drinking, the jolliest place in Japan! And this time, that's where John is TOKUSHIMA! In this episode, we'll get a glimpse at this amazing street party and a few other attractions in the area. hi guys , On this vlog i will be showing you the famous and largest festival held across japan during the Obon season in mid August. You will see group of dancers with colorful clothes . Women wear cotton robes called yukata, while men wear happi (shorter yukata over shorts or pants). Like the dance, these standards vary from group to group. Their steps are very simple to follow while the traditional musical instrumets played on the background , then you will hear them shout or sing but in english term it just mean "Fools dance and fools watch, if both are fools, you might as well dance". 😅 for more information i will be attaching some websites guide that im always using : 🤍

The festival, which boasts a 400-year history, attracts more than one million visitors from home and abroad. There are three main theories as to its origins: 1. The townspeople of Tokushima Castle danced when the lord of the castle took up residence in Tokushima Castle. 2. The dance evolved from the Bon Odori (a dance performed in summer to honor ancestors). 3. The dance derives from the Furyu Odori, which is considered to be the origin of Noh theatre (a form of traditional Japanese theatre). Awa-Odori Dance Festival is one of the most beloved summer festivals is Japan. The biggest Awa-Odori in Japan is in Shikoku, attracting over one million visitors each year. But smaller events do take place in Tokyo during summer. The Koganei Awa-Odori is one of these. After 3 years of pandemic, the summer festival is back in full. This year the festival was held on July 22 and 23. It was a beautiful sight to see with dancers of all ages dancing merrily in their beautiful Yukata. There were a lot of taiko drumming and many small stalls selling foods and drinks. Please have fun watching! 【日本語】2015年10月1日と2日、徳島市発祥の日本の有名なお祭り「阿波踊り」がパリで初めて開催されました。 しかし、私は悪い位置にいて、ショーを鑑賞するのに忙しすぎて、残念ながら設定に注意を払うことができませんでした。 エンコード中の事故により、音と映像が数秒ずれてしまいました、申し訳ありません。 【FRANCAIS】Les 1er et 2 Octobre 2015, s'est tenu pour la première fois à Paris le festival Awa-Odori (阿波踊り), célèbre festival japonais originaire de la ville de Tokushima au Japon. Désolé pour le cadrage et la mise au point qui ne sont pas terribles, mais j'étais mal placé (plein milieu de la foule), et bien trop occupé à admirer le spectacle pour faire attention aux réglages malheureusement. /!\ Suite à un incident lors de l'encodage de la vidéo, le son et la vidéo se sont retrouvés désynchronisés de quelques secondes, désolé ça, j'espère que ça ne gâchera pas trop votre visionnage /!\
